The Fulbright US Student Grant Program offers thousands of opportunities to do research, study, or teach English around the globe.

Are you thinking about pursuing STEM graduate studies and a research career (in academia, the private sector, or government labs)? If so, you should learn about the Goldwater Scholarship for rising sophomores/juniors - future MD/PhD students ARE eligible.
The Goldwater Scholarship recognizes excellence in undergraduate (2nd and 3rd year) studies and research in STEM/behavioral science fields, and provides an annual award of up to $7,500. Maryland is #2 nationally in Goldwater awards over the past 16 years!

Eligibility: Rising 2nd year and 3rd year students who are US citizens and permanent residents are eligible to apply for nomination this fall 2025; GPA of 3.8 or above recommended

Eligibility: Citizens of ALL countries are eligible to apply for Knight-Hennessy Scholarships. You are eligible to apply to Knight-Hennessy Scholars if you apply during your final year of study for your bachelor's degree or within four years of earning your bachelor’s degree.
